This is a wonderful path through a series of redwood lined gulleys and oak lined ridges. There are houses but they are not so intrusive. The road is continually steep so you need to be in decent shape. it must be about 4 miles long from Portola Road to Skyline drive and have an elevation gain of about 2'000 feet at least but it is well worth it.
