This is a wonderful resource for new mothers & families. They have everything in one place; classes, playgroups, lactation consultants, pump-rental, and baby gear. The facilities are nice and there is parking (no validation) in the building that helps when there's a crying baby in tow. It is a little bit expensive, but considering you're saving gas, time & sometimes your nerves it's worth it. Check out the monthly member discounts.

This store is really great. I haven't taken classes here but I've gotten suggestions from the staff about breastfeeding products and other things that are usually hard to find.

I went in to buy a couple of books and came out with a great find - a kind of one-stop-shopping for pregnancy and parenting resources.

In addition to their retail store, they have a whole resource room with a lending library of books and DVDs as well as a quiet place for drop-in nursing and baby changing. They also have regular classes and groups geared for folks in different stages of the journey - pregnancy, newborns, etc. Their classes are listed online.

Their classes and retail store are open to everyone - members and non-members, but members get discounts and access to the lending library. It's $119 and goes through one year from your due date. So, if you get the membership when you're pregnant, you get bonus months on the annual membership. For the quality of the lending library and discounts on classes and lactation consultants, I think the membership pays for itself very quickly.

The folks there are all very knowledgeable. Just ask, and they can help you weigh the options on everything from onsies to car seats.
