I love this bookstore. Independently owned and back from the brink after closing down last year. Kepler's is a great bookstore that will provide anything you are looking for.

This bookstore is a neighborhood gem. I always try there first when I need a book, even if it is slightly more inconvenient than just going online to buy. We need independent bookstores like this. They help me find what I need, make great recommendations on what else I might like to read, and it's a very pleasant place to spend time.

I'm glad independent book stores like Kepler's are out there, and I have shifted my Amazon and other book store buying to them.

They're a part of Booksense, so you can order books online to either pick up at the store or have delivered. This helps me still do all of my online gift shopping while supporting a local store.

The author events and series of talks they sponsor are great - for kiddies and adults. I'm particulary glad to see the Go Green series of talks - it's a great way to get an intro on sustainability and to see what other people and groups in the Bay Area are doing.

They have a nice, large children's section in back - lots of choice and can help you find particular titles if you ask. I went in recently and asked to see the books they had by Bay Area authors, and the woman showed me several to choose from. I was then free to browse and make my choices - loved it.
