The Mothers’ Milk Bank is in the Valley Medical Center in SJ. It's a licensed tissue bank and has been providing this service for 30 years. There may be other resources around, but this is the best known. They'll send a nurse to your house to handle all the screenings and they'll either pick up the milk or send you coolers and shipping docs, so you don't have to schlep down to SJ and pump in a strange room or anything. This is one of the nicest things someone can do for a new baby.

If you're on the other end of things and you need milk, you must have a doctor's prescription - check on the Milk Bank website, as they have all this info. It costs $3.00 per oz.
