Redwood City Girls Softball League
This league rocks! You can't please everyone but I have only had positive experiences with this league. My daughter absolutely loved it. Who ever wrote the negative review it is in bad taste to name names bordering on slanderous. Not cool.

Boy, I guess some people have nothing better to do than make false claims about youth non-profits that are doing amazing things for our community - like the Redwood City Girls Softball League.
The person making the previous comments also has their facts wrong. Guess it must be something going around. The league owes no money to anyone. Feel free to check around. My advice is to visit the Web site, see all the photos and read the comments from the families who love this league. Spring 2009 registration is way up from last year and growing.
Don't let people who do nothing than complain sway you one way or another. Decide for yourself and play with RCGSL. You won’t be disappointed! The league is strong and getting stronger! They are doing great things for the young ladies of our community!

I agree with the first person. I obtained sponsors, and never saw where the money went. Coaches were promised money back if they coached and that wasn't given. The league still owes Goetz Bros. money, the uniform company money and failed to pay many people who ran their clinics. Until Steve is out, don't play in RWC!!!

The previous reviewer has his/her facts all wrong. No board members were every run out. Board members come and go as in any volunteer non-profit organization. Yes, there was a deficit the first year, but what do you expect for a league that just started in 2008 and had over 400 players sign up in their first season! They built a new field, new snack, new equipment for the girls. Steve and the board finally gave the young ladies of our community a place to play softball. We've never had that in the history of Redwood City!
They should be commended and applauded for their efforts! The league is now back in the black and is still going strong!
Just look at all the great feedback from the last season. Over 95% of the families love the Redwood City Girls Softball League!

This league started out as a wonderful idea and place for the girls of redwood city. The guy who started it, Steve is a dictator who is running out all of his board members and using money that the league doesn't have. Don't waste your time playing in this league and trying to help... he will only tell you that you aren't doing enough. Play in another city where they have their act together!!!
