I agree! The coffee and teas are great - however, expensive and the people who work there are NOT friendly. Back to Peets and Starbucks for me.

I was a regular for about a month and generally liked the atmosphere but the current owner is a very mean and unpleasant lady. Even though i spend an average of $5-$10 whenever i go there, she confronted me one day when i bought a pastry there but had a drink with me from elsewhere. She told me to leave, that 'i am not a client' and 'she doesnt care to hear any explanations'. She never smiles and often bugs customers ...almost like a tyrant.
i would never go there again. besides the wifi is not reliable like the other cafes on the block

A great selection of coffees and loose teas. Most of the teas are organic, and there is at least one coffee roast that is organic. They use organic milk as well. If you get a cappuccino, watch them pour the steamed milk into the cup - they make a very cool design with the foam and coffee just by pouring. It's like a bartending show but at a coffee bar.
They have upstairs, downstairs, and outside seating and free wi-fi. They usually have an Italian movie palaying on the TV on the wall.
This place has real ties to Italy, which is nice to see - not some coffe bar with poorly-translated coffee drink names and earth-tone walls.
