I tend to disagree with the other 2 reviewers on the staff and the facilities. I have found the staff at Dr Kelly's office lacking in friendliness, smiles, and empathy. My son did not like his first experience there and he has been reluctant to go ever since. I do not like the way the room is set up as one big room with about 6 to 8 examining chairs. I noticed the older kids (starting around 10 years old maybe) do not like the "little kid" routine anymore. For being a private practice, the atmosphere and scheduling makes it feel more like a managed care facility where as many patients as possible are packed into a day with limited time spent on each patient. I had a much better experience as a child with a family dentist down in L.A. My dentist had individual examining rooms with pediatric chairs and pictures (no videos then) but it was pleasant and not rushed, with friendly hygienists and receptionists. Also, I have friends with kids who go to Dr Kelly too and they don't like the hygienists and the receptionists either.

We were recommended by our pediatrician's office. Dr. Kelly has a great booming voice and personality, in a wonderful way. He is really great with our son (4), who has been going there since he was three and always wants to go back after leaving. The room is round, and has a gentle under the sea theme. Hygienists are all very nice. They have headsets and movies. Treats include pencils, stickers and a toy. Once there was a girl who perhaps had Down's Syndrome, and he was great with her as well, taking care of her cleaning himself while she stood up, and praised her well. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly.

Dr. Kelly is fantastic with kids. All his hygienists and office staff are extremely friendly and patient. He shows the kids disney movies, and has a treasure box for after their treatment, so the kids actually look forward to going to the dentist.
