I first found Dr Asai when I moved to the San Mateo area eighteen years ago. Since then I have moved around the Peninsula and tried other dentists closer to home but have always found myself returning to Asai for second opinions or follow-up, and a few years ago decided he was worth the drive from Palo Alto to use him exclusively again. He is top notch, and can be completely trusted not to recommend unnecessary care. His prices are also completely reasonable--he hasn't yet succumbed to buying every piece of high-tech dentistry technology and passing the cost along to you.
