He's a really pleasant guy who has two sons and sings in a barbershop quartet as a hobby. His wife is an executive at HP, so he has made mention that he doesn't "need" to still be in dentistry, but he really enjoys it.

Anyway, his big thing is using all of the latest and greatest in technology. He always has some new machine to show off.

He has a pretty small practice, but recently hired another younger dentist to work with him. In fact, when my husband goes in on Friday mornings (that's the only day they do early appointments-- 7:30 am) the new dentist is the only one there, and he gets his teeth cleaned and completely checked by the dentist only - no hygienist involved! He really likes that.

My husband likes all of the "high tech" equipment Dr. Sawyer uses, and I like his "bedside manner" - he's always very jovial. In fact, I'm thinking I may start bringing my son to him and not do a pediatric dentist because he's really good with kids, especially boys, since he has two of his own.

We've been going to him since '97, and I think I've always seen the same hygienist since that time, as well as Dr. Sawyer, so there's not a lot of turnover!
