We used College Counseling Associates in Menlo Park, who were excellent in all ways. Our public school college counselor actually suggested outside college counseling as she was trained in UC and Cal. State admissions, and didn't have a knowledge base in private east coast admissions. It was $130. hourly 3 years ago, but they supplemented sessions with emails and we only needed 4 sessions for my son to complete a complicated essay and narrow his selection
list. He got into his first choice college during early admission, and we were very satisfied with the service.
