They are an employment service to job seekers. Basically, if you're concerned you're not getting a job or job offer because your references are saying negative things about you or perhaps things that actually they legally shouldn't be able to say, you can check with them and provide information about the references that you want them to check. They'll go ahead and check them for you and then provide you with a report.

The good thing about it is that you now know what they're in fact saying about you so that you can determine whether or not it will be helpful to you to put those particular references down for you when you're looking for a new job. Also, if the past employer is in fact giving out information they shouldn't, then you have a report to possibly go forward with some type of legal action. I found it very helpful.

This is a really good service that confidentially and professionally checks what your references are saying (you provide the information to them of who you want to have contacted), and they provide you with a 3-page written report of the question and answer session.

It's a good, local service in San Carlos, CA.

It's a good thing to know what former employers are saying about you if you are looking for a new job anyway - often times these references can influence the hiring personnel at the prospective employer very much. Also, if you think that there is any chance that the employer is divulging information that is prohibited by law, you'll have a 3rd party, un-biased report to show an attorney.

Best wishes!
