Both my children attend GISSV and are very happy there. We have chosen the school due to its bilingual curriculum and also like the concept of a third or fourth foreign language being taught. We feel that our kids are getting the best education possible from the highly skilled teachers employed by the school. Our kids have responded very well to the social and environmental projects, including additional physical education time, that you don't' find at most other schools. The administration staff is very welcoming and have been very helpful during our move to the Silicon Valley. In fact, we find that the teachers and staff have been very eager to have our input on matters that effect the welfare of the school and students. We are very glad to have found such a great school for our kids and can highly recommend GISSV to anybody looking for qualified bilingual education

While academic programs are generally good, one big problem the school has is a lack of leadership and transparency. Parents are rarely informed in a timely manner about what is going on at school (also reflected in the the school website, which is quite poor). Parents' input is not typically solicited in decisions affecting the whole school and does not seem welcome. As a consequence, overall parent involvement is low. Most private schools in California seem to offer considerably more extracurricular activities than this school.
