Communication between the school and parents is not so great. Advisors/Counselors don't seem to want to talk to parents and give the message that they are too busy. (I give the 504 counselor high marks! She's very responsive and helpful!) Teachers can now use School Loop which is a wonderful program where they can post homework assignments and grades. Most teachers are using it now and it is getting better each year. In 3 years we have had 3 principals. I guess that's a ESUHSD issue. Other schools in this district have the same problem. All in all, I feel my children are safe and getting a decent education.

My child went to yhis school and it is outstanding. This school is better than all the schools in natomas unionfied school district. It is way better than inderkum highschool. This is a school I wish I could have attended as a child so I could have got a degree. Pleas send your children here for a better education. - Mrs. Swalts

The atmosphere is positive. The students seem to get along well and are encouraged to strive for their best. There are many extracurricular opportunities - clubs, sports, etc.

Though this school seems to try hard, the level of incompetence in organization, teacher ability and class availability is poor.

I have a child in PHHS. This is the best school in the ESUHS District. Good quality education and activities. As a parent, I'm satisfied.

The academic quality is very satisifactory to what parents want and need. The school in general is very tight when it comes to security. trouble makers are stopped once and only once. Athletics are there to keep the kids out of trouble and to have fun. They coaches not only help them develop as individuals but as players to win. Many schools in the state are very deprived of these characteristics but this is one of the top schools in not only the area but with the state also.

I have been very happy with P.H.H.S My son goes there and is in Drama and has been for the past 3 years, I am so happy that they offer this activity, for him. It has opened him up and made him more out going. I have heard that alot of teachers got their pink slip and could be laid off, there is even rumor that there will no longer be Drama or any other electives in the 2005-06 school year. I sure do hope that the parents rally together to save these electives, so our children can continue to better themselves and they have a safe place to be, other than the streets. I have always felt good about Piedmont, and what they have done for our children but this latest issue is going to change alot of feeling for alot of people.
