We were very disappointed in the advice that Joanna Koch gave us with our newborn daughter. We went to her three times requesting help with breastfeeding and we were told repeatedly to just pump breastmilk and feed with a bottle. She did not encourage breastfeeding or give methods to promote breastfeeding at all, but kept to her theory that if you bottle feed enough, then when the baby is bigger, then they will learn to breastfeed on their own.

We also thought she was very unprofessional when on the third visit it was clear that her advice was wrong for our daugther. She abruptly ended the visit and blamed me for drinking orange juice, and sent us out of her office is a hurry. I was shocked and have never been treated so badly in a medical office.

We did interact with other wonderful lactation consultants, and would definitely go elsewhere.
