You can use Craigslist, which is where a lot of professional services providers post because it's free. As a small business owner, we get a good amount of business leads from this source. Your ad will only be live for 7 days and then you have to repost, but that's OK because after 7 days you're buried anyway.

You might also get a few clients to write a review of you on this website - Neighbor.com. We've done well so far even though they haven't been up very long, and it's really interesting seeing what people say about us. When you've done a great job for a customer, it's wonderful how keen they are to help you get more business, so take advantage of this generosity! Good luck.
