I searched for a mason who could convert my fireplace to a more efficient Rumford firebox. Some didn't know what I was talking about. Most wanted to tear down the entire fireplace and build it all over again using a kit for about $20,000. Mark said he could do it for $1,500 and even gave me a lesson about Count Rumford the innovator and designer of the fireplace. He told me Rumford converted fireplaces in his day. Mark also looked at markings on some of the bricks in other structures on my property and told me where they were made. Amazing!

Mark is a truly skilled master craftsman, an artist and student of his profession. I would not call any other mason.
