This pharmacy has the old-fashioned, neighborhood feel to it. It does mainly prescriptions, and if you go monthly, like I have to, they get to know you. John Celadon always has a "hello" for me, and I love that they actually know (and can refer to) the various medications my family takes. I could probably save money by buying online, but I really like knowing that someone at the pharmacy is a real person and can give me information about what I am taking.

Thanks to Preuss, I will never go back to a chain pharmacy. I initially visited Preuss because I was impressed by their support of community causes, and I was so thrilled with the personal service and patience of the staff that I have made a permanent change. This is yet another way that I can support small, local businesses that, in turn, support their community.

Preuss Pharmacy rents wheelchairs by the week or the month. They offer both companion chairs (which is much lighter, yet the person cannot wheel it themselves) and standard chairs for rent. Fees are $35/week per chair and you can reserve in advance. It costs between $60-$65 per month depending on which type of wheelchair you rent. My mom is visiting in Aug. and I was happy to find this local resource.

The personal service at Preuss Pharmacy makes it my favorite place for prescriptions. They mostly fill prescriptions and don't have a huge inventory of products. They will order anything you need. They also have wheelchairs and other home care products for rent. Especially good in an emergency!
