The teachers are excellent, at least those we have encountered. The academic level is better better than the private school our girls went to before (although that was reputed to be good). Kids who are average to good academically are well taught and encouraged, but kids were struggling may not get enough attention judging by observations my girls have made. The facilities are adequate, although the schoolyard is not very pretty (concrete, no grass).
Likes: The staff, academics and price.
Dislikes: Nothing - love it!

The change to a YR schedule is an example of how parents are totally disregarded. An incredible fiasco.

Great drama program. Diverse group of kid with a very deicated staff. PTA is very involved. Ask about their positive points program, which rewards students for good grades and behavior.

The physical education department is running great and I think they are producing good young athletes. They also have emphasis on streching which is important for kids.

While our daughter loved the performing arts and musical programming here and excelled academically, administration and staff weren't receptive to creating partnerships with parents. We found educators resistant to parent input. There are racial cliques and some tensions.

Strong level of parent involvement makes this a fun school to teach for.
