My daughter has attended since the first grade and now she is entering 8th next year. Most of her teachers have been very good. It's the type of school where everyone knows each other. There's no stuck-up kids. Communication with the teachers is very good. The middle school is small and intimate which might not be everyone's cup of tea. Everyone is friends with each other in their particular grade. There are no 'bad' kids or they will be gone. Doesn't push academics too much. They are trying to bring of love of learning to students. Biblical principles taught. A few years ago they had problems with some of the teachers in the middle school but that has improved. Too small to get much participation in some sports. Has a sports field now.

I do not recommend this school at all! My son came in a positive, confident boy and left labeled 'rebellious, bad and a troublemaker'. Although the administration has good intentions, they are completely out of touch and if your kid is not a natural learner or 'fits into a box', they will suffer. As a teacher myself, I quickly recognized that my kid was being criticized daily for not being perfect.

This school has a wonderful curriculum and wonderful teachers. The choir teacher has greatly improved the concerts the children perform twice a year and has taught my children many different things about music. This school is wonderful at using biblical foundations in their method of discipline so the children learn what the Bible says why their inappropriate behavior is unacceptable. There are many different ways to be involved as a parent, room parent, driving on field trips, volunteering for one of the many fundraisers, there is always a need for parents to help out. The administration as very approachable which we find to be very important. We love this school!

My kids are all love their teachers, art and sport programs, especially their after school programs. The academic program isn't very strong, but good enough. Parents involves a lot an daily school activities. Overall, it is a good school

I think the elementry school is ok, but I don't want to recommend middle school. Class size is too small, so there is no levens in each classes.

My children attended Achiever Christian School for many years. As parents, we were very involved and supported the school in many ways. However, we have been unhappy in the last couple of years. ACS cut their instrument program to save the school money without notifying the parents. There is poor communication between the administration and parents. We've noticed that Achiever Christian School no longer 'partners with parents to reach their child's God-given potential'. There were many families who came to see their 1st-5th grade children sing at the Elementary concerts, however the focus was on 12 Middle School students. The extracurricular activities are very poor and are run only by teenagers, most of whom do not have prior experience with children. Parents are involved, but are responsible for their 'group' during field trips while the teachers chat. Because of these reasons and several more, we will not be returning to ACS!

ACS has great 'pull outs'. They have art, computer, music, library and now musical instruments. Teachers are well trained and seem to be happy there.

The teachers that we have had so far are very caring. They take time to know each child individually. There is good recognition of good behavior. The principal takes time to get to know the children and the parents. There is community at this school. The school is strongly academic and is very strict.

We are pulling our twins out, mainly because we do not feel that they are getting the proper support during and after school, teachers expect parents to do the work for them at home with disregard to that many parents work long hours, and they expect the student to pick up at fast paste. The Management is out of touch, what a waste of money and energy. I only like the safety and religious and social aspect of it.

My child has been at ACS for 7 years. This year (2005) has been horrible. A recent principal change, numerous teachers with no teaching credentials and an out-of-touch superintendent have forced us to change schools. ACS is a good school if your child is a natural student. The administration doesn't work well with students who need extra help or care. Most of the teachers are very good, however there are quite a few who do not have their creditials and it really shows. Nothing ever seems to improve, excuses are always given instead of results.
