Principal is horrible at communication, morale is lower than ever, school district doesn't seem to care and upper grade kids are leaving in droves for the middle school in town. Very sad this school has become everything it wasn't intended to be. The only saving grace is the great teachers, many of whom are also leaving. Upper grades are in shambles. Think twice if you are looking for a k-8 school.

This is a great school with great teachers and parents. However, if you have a special needs child beware. The teachers have no experience with providing classroom accommodations. They are great for trying.

Great new principal has set the tone for our school - respect and discipline are paramount. He engages and respects the students, especially the upper graders. The kids love him! Wonderful, involved teachers go way beyond what's required, and participate in activities outside of school hours. Great parent involvement provides teacher support and Creative Arts program. Active PTO provides for supplies, special assemblies, field trips, drama productions - all of those extras that make a school special. Love the K-8 atmosphere and activities with older kids interacting with the younger kids. Old-fashioned sense of community responsibility for each other's children.. There is no perfect school, but I wouldn't want my child to be anywhere else.

November 2006: New principal, things are definitely on the mend. Lots of parent involvement, great small school environment, everyone is much happier and things are definitely improving. New after school program is great. Excellent PTO!

We love everything about the school. Parent participation is great which makes you feel a part of a larger community that is watching out for your child. the curriculum, programs and teachers thus far have been amazing and dedicated. I know some were up in arms with a new principal but it seems to still have the community feel we were looking for. I wish there were more sports opportunities after school, giving the children something more to do but one parent has done a wonderful job of pulling in after school activities through other organizations that you can sign up for.

Excellent, amazing teacher, great music program, I carry lots of fond memories of conflict resolution, outdoor education, and the friends I made as well as the safe, clean, stimulating, and fun learning environment.
