Canyon Heights is easily one of the best schools in the Bay Area. The preschool teachers are warm and loving and my four year old learned how to read. They accomplish this by truly motivating the children to love learning and so they are so excited each day to come to school. Preschool is Montessori, hands-on and academic. This is a Catholic school and one of the only Catholic preschools in the area. The classes are split into boys and girls classes beginning in Kindergarten so that the instruction in the classroom can be tailored to fit the unique and different learning styles of boys and girls - a wonderful approach! The boys and girls are together for lunch and all recess. The community of parents is incredible, everyone is very involved and it the only place where I could happily leave my children each day. They are learning so much (the curriculum is about a year ahead of a lot of other area private schools), growing in the human virtues, becoming confident leaders and developing a true relationship with Christ - most of this due to the formation they receive at Canyon Heights. This school is highly recommended.

This school has exceeded all of our hopes and expectations! The environment is a safe one, and my children are nurtured to be not only great thinkers, but great people as well! We love this school!

This school offers small class sizes and individual attention to each of it's students. It is unique in the high level of acedemic and religous exposure for its students. There is also a strong sense of community among the students' families.

I have three children in their first year at Canyon Heights Academy. The school has far exceeded our expectations! The teachers are so tuned into the kids and who they are! My daughter came home the first day and said, 'Mommy, I like my teacher!' That relationship has just blossomed and so has my daughter - from someone who kept to herself, doing only what she was sure of, to someone who has 'so many friends' -as she says and is not only eager to learn and try new things, but looks for new things! The level of commitment each parent brings to their involvement makes so much possible - giving a real sense of making a difference. The school provides monthly parent classes (with free childcare!)to educate us on the philosophy of the school, so we can better participate in the formation of our children. That is important to us.
