This school is a good school overall. Good course learning for the children, hands on learning. Area for needed improvement: attention to the kids when it comes time for graduating on, attention to details on kids' programs, more one-on-one attention at time for getting the kids program ready for graduating.

Since Marcy Green came on as Head of School, there has been a lot of creative arts going on! The high academic quality is still in place and the teachers remain dedicated. It's refreshing to have so many new programs going on in the Arts and cultural areas. The entire school participated in an amazing play before Winter Break with song, dance and acting. The kids created the costumes and sets and were so excited about it. There's a new art gallery with clay masks the kids made. Before that were really creative watercolors on the subject of Renewable Energy. The weekly field trips are great, too. The day is long but really packed. My kids are learning a lot and getting a real view of the world and experiencing it, not just reading about it in books. Great school!

The only thing bad that I can say about this school is that tuition rivals that of many universities. The quality of the teachers and curriculum, however, are superb! Children are taught and tested at their own pace. When reading, a student is encouraged to not pass a word that they don't understand; this rule results in greatly increased comprehension of individual words and of the material being read. Proper ethics are a foundation of study. Finding a way to reslove issues and problems with any person and ones physical surroundings, serves as a goal for each student. This school is based on the research and learnings of L. Ron Hubbard. Parent involvement in integral and greatly encouraged. Hands on experience is a constant. Very Good school!

The academic quality is superior to any school I have known. All three of my children who have attended or are attending this school have mastered the ability to study and learn anything, so as to be able to apply it to life. The children recieve very close attention, not only for academics, but for sports and art programs, as well. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in their childs overall academic program and there is excellent coordination between the teacher and the parents regarding the childs progress and any areas that may need attention are brought to light and dealt with in a very timely manner.

Academics are a strong point at Delphi in a unique way - subjects are mastered and really owned and understood by the students. Here the kids can read and really understand all the words they read and the context of the story. The math is not just memorized or drilled rotely but terms and concepts are cleared up and demonstrated so kids know why and how to proceed with each type of problem. Choir, sports, gymnastics and science projects are all part of the normal curriculum, with a field trip every week that gives the children practical experiences and plain old fun. As a parent I've always felt welcome and there's plenty of room for involvement without any pressure to do so. The small community is friendly and the staff are attentive to each individual's needs. I'm happy as my son is learning and enjoying it too!
