My child attended here as an infant and toddler; high staff turnover in the toddler room. Head teacher very good; rest of the staff caring, but not very good english.

I'm a parent at Emerson School in Palo Alto and I highly recommend it to any parent who wants his/her child to maximize their potential! Think about it - does your child fulfill his/her potential at their current school? Let your child discover the extraordinary in him/her self at Emerson. Emerson School is a non-sectarian private school. They really 'Walk the Talk'. Emerson offers a year-round full day program with many after school activities on-site. The teachers at Emerson patiently and lovingly empower the students to take charge of their lives and their education. The experience here is different from the over-crowded, highly competitive and stressful public schools. The program is truly individualized with an international curriculum, where the children learn Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. Go and check Emerson - you won't regret visiting the school.

My second grader has attended Emerson/Heads Up since she was four. We have been tremendously impressed with the warmth, caring, concern, and individual attention my child has received from every one of her teachers. Children at Emerson are exposed to so many interesting subjects and study things I wasn't introduced to until high school. The hands on approach to learning really helps the students thrive. My daughter is totally able to work at her own level with unlimited oportunities to excel. Students have ample opportunities for art and music, and take field trips to places like the Montery Bay Aquarium and to see the San Francisco Symphony. We also like the fact that Emerson continues through the summer. In the summer children attend Write Camp and have time at the swim school next door. I highly recommend Emerson School!
