La Entrada is particularly hard on students who aren't at the top of the class. Our experience there was quite painful, with little support from certain teachers and not much availability to discuss the problems our child was having. The school needs staff and teacher development to learn how to better help students with learning challenges. Many students leave after having a tough year there.

Children with learning disabilities may struggle here; peers can be hostile and teachers (other than resource staff) not very accommodating in this environment of high expectations. Our LD child was bullied and ridiculed. Although administration repeatedly intervened, we eventually moved to another school.

The teachers at La Entrada are fantastic. The administration is a bit stodgy and wed to rules and procedure. My child suffers from a learning disability and the support is poor. We are thinking of moving our daughter to another school for this reason. The child who is not the norm does not fit in well at this school.

The teachers at La Entrada are fantastic. The administration feels procedure and rules need to be strictly enforced. My child suffers from a learning disability and the support is appalling. It is as though the disability does not exist. If we sweep it under the rug it will go away. This school would do very well to pay attention to those that are different and learn tolerance and sensitivity. The child who is not the norm can teach this school a lesson and help them to become the outstanding school they truly strive to be. If all are accepted and encouraged people would flock to this school. The teacher are its saving grace!

La Entrada is a high performance school with a wealth of resources, but there are a number of 'problem parents'. The administration tries to intervene but they are not strong enough.

La Entrada is a public school which offers private school education. The teachers are very dedicated. There is also heavy parent involvement.

La Entrada is an incredible school, and the Las Lomitas School District is the 'crown jewel' of Menlo Park/Atherton's public schools. From the terrific leadership of principal Dee Brummett, to the highly intelligent and motivated teaching staff, La Entrada provides students with a terrific learning environment. My children are both (or will soon be) La Entrada graduates. Based on the academic foundation my oldest son received, he has gone on to excell in high school, with a 1500 SAT and acceptances to some of the world's greatest universities. We owe it all to Las Lomitas and La Entrada!

Academic programs are great. The teachers are passionate, qulaified and generally quite phenomenal. Parent involvement may be seen as over the top. Some of the parents are an absolute nightmare and have driven some of the staff (who have high standards) out of the teaching profession.

I have had two daughters attend La Entrada, both at different levels of learning ability. My first daughter had a slight learning challenge and needed help that was not available so she was home schooled. My second who now attends is brilliant and is number 1 or 2 in her class. Both had caring and excellent teachers. Latin language, jazz band, math, core, basketball, she doesn't have enough time in the day to take all of the interesting classes! A great school, the parents are upper class but don't act stuffy - most are very nice and try their best to be involved - it is what it is.

The school offers academic rigor, a focus on discipline and responsibility and very good parent community. One of the best publicschools in CA.

It is an excellent school in the Bay Area. Specially Latin of Foreign Language is so great. English and Social Studies for 7th grade are really advanced. Writing session is also well organized. Science and Mathmatics are all high leveled. Parent involvements are only done for the school events, but not for the classroom.

It seems amazing and that every child that has gone there is improving in all subjects. My friend's daughter goes there and she was on the high honor roll. This school makes every child feel like they are special in there own way. The teachers also give a lot of time and effort in to helping each student to their personal learning capabilities. The teacheers are so well educated that if I moved half way around the world, I would definetly miss the school. The school also has many great after school activities such as basketball, track, volleyball, tennis, and many more. This school is so amazing. That is all what my friend told me and when I visited it was amazing no matterif you are new you felll always welcomed.

La Entrada is a great school. It has a very insulated feel about it. There is a large amount of parent involvement at LE. The school is very open to the many programs that the active parent community has put in place. Academics are strong, however there are few options for students who exceed their grade level. There are enrichment opportunities for these kids. Attendance is high and the sports are well organized and remain fun, rather than overly competitive. The atmosphere at the school is positive, among staff, students and parents. The music program at this time is lacking, however in years past was superb. It has been a great school for all three of my children overall.
