I graduated from Pala in the '06 and even though I did have my share of problems the school did help me out with my education.I'm not saying the school is perfect because believe me it can use some work but the teachers are always welling to stay and help students with work they're not getting. The problems lyes within the students who would rather keep their reputation than look like nerds and learn. All I'm saying is that many parents think that the staff is at fault when the truth is that most of the time the students are responsible for their low grades.i do admit their are teachers who frankly don't care any more but their are few of those teachers left now in days! The school is coming up and growing into a better and safer school than it was a few years ago.The school is progressing!

Due to the new administration, Pala Middle School has changed dramatically from the past two years. I am a teacher and have seen MAJOR improvement with staff morale, school spirit, student academics and behavior, as well as community and parent involvement. Earlier in the year, students, mostly those who have attended Pala for the past 3 years (8th graders) often voice their displeasure at how 'strict' and 'boring' (minimal fights) our school has become. However, as the year is coming to its end, many students feel that this has been their best learning year, though they can't quite pinpoint why. I believe it's because Pala has developed a much safer climate for its students and staff, and thus, I am confident that our API score will finally increase this academic year!
