I had a horrible experience with Dr. Raman. She is so artificial and insensitive to her patient's feelings. She was on her vacation when I got admitted in the hospital due to contractions on the last day of my 35th week of pregnancy. I was diagnosed with UTI and had to be in the hospital for 5 days. I was attended by the covering Doctor who was not much interested in my case for abvious reason that I was not her patient. I spent 5 full days dying in pain as the doctor could not figure out for the first 3 days that they were labor pains. Thanks !!! to the excellent care and concern shown by senior nurses in Maternity, Labor and Delivery units who were sensible enough to figure out that I was going into labour and my cervix continued to open. After 5 days of ordeal I gve birth to a beautiful baby girl on 07/07/2007. Thanks to Dr.Barrett who did a marvelous job during my delivery. Suprisingly my doctor Raman didn't seem to have a clue about what was happening. After 1 week of my delivery I got a call from her assistant that I need to go on antibiotics to get treated for my UTI. I had to tell the assistant that I delivered on 07/07/2007. I did not hear from the doctor's office after that. My baby was kept in the NICU for 1 week and on one of the days when I went to the hospital to feed my baby I accidently bumped into Dr. Raman who was still not aware that I delivered. To my utter shock and dismay I had to give the news to this 'hollywood actress'. who was probably embarassed and tried her best to act as if she knew. But it was clearly evident that she was acting. I was utterly dissapointed and still asked her if I needed to see her for a followup, she gave me a faint smile and rushed through another door. I am still waiting for a call from her office to schedule an appointment. I keep getting calls for Medical bills from her office. I have decided that I will never see this unprofessional and insensitive doctor who considers patients as money generating sources.
My sincere advice to Asian Indians and other pregnant women is not to see this woman who does not understand the pain of her patients.

Highly unprofessional, rude and arrogant doctor who is always in a rush. You will wait 30 mins to talk to her and she will spend 5 mins rushing things and then disappear. I seriously wonder if she is even 5% compassionate towards her patients. I had a horrible time with her and I was saddened to see how she handled my miscarriage. I was already devastated because of things happening to me and her behavior just pushed me towards end.
She used to give me the impression like I am just nothing and never gave me any information ahead for things that could happen to me. I found other doctors more concerned, kind and informative, when I was not their patient and they were just seeing me on an ad-hoc basis.

The most unreliable and insensitive OBGYN. I wonder if the Altosoaks mgmt even has a slightest of idea about the treatment their patients receive from unprofessional doctor like Raman. Wakeup !!! Altos Group Wakeup!!!

Yeah, She is sweet like a poison my friend. She can be a great actress any takers ?????? my experience with her has been pathetic. I switched to another OBGYN after two sessions with her. It better to read stuff on Internet rather than seeing her.

I am really happy with this sweet doctor. She is very patient and doesn't rush into give medicines. She also speaks very compassionately. I am having PCOS and amtrying to get pregnant. She is trying to keep things as natural as possible.

Wow, I'm shocked at the negative reviews. I love Dr. Raman and have been going to her for years with no problems. She's super nice & I've never once felt rushed and she is always willing to talk to me about any issues I may have and for as long as I need. I can't believe someone would criticize her for being on vacation! If that isn't self-centered, I don't know what is!

I'm also surprised by the negative reviews. At my first GYN appointment she actually invited me into her office before the exam, went over my file, asked me what my future plans were for starting a family, and talked to me about what I should be doing to get ready for pregnancy (e.g. taking folic acid, getting into shape). Dr. Raman wasn't on call the night I delivered my first son but she came by the next morning and had me moved to a private room. She can be rushed during regular visits but she always asks me about my kids, by name and always gives me the opportunity to talk to her about any issues I may be concerned about. I'm sorry that others have not had the same experience.
