Hidden Villa has so many volunteer opportunities, and its a magical place. A sustainable farm and garden, environmental education, hostel, community programs...and there is a volunteer orientation on Sept 8 - contact Nanya at volunteer@hiddenvilla.org

This is a wonderful place to go on a sunny afternoon or early in the day. Children love looking at the animals and you don't get the feeling you're in the BAy Area at all because it's so secluded. The hostel looks like it would be a nice place to go for a weekend getaway too.

This is a great outing for the little ones. I've taken my preschooler there for a hike and to see the animals and we love being in nature together. Check the web site for their schedule because they are closed for part of the summer due to their summer camps and are also closed on Mondays during the rest of the year.

This is a great petting farm. Rub shoulders with Jersey cows, 700 pound pigs and a field full of free-range chickens. There's also picnicking and hiking.
It's great for families with young kids and stroller friendly.
