My children absolutely LOVED it. I signed
them up for all 3 sessions and they were crying when
it was time to say goodbye.

The camp is wonderful. I am not a religious
person myself, but I do value my heritage and love of
Yidishkite (I hope I spelled it correctly). I want my
children, who are growing among predominantly
non-Jewish people, to have the same love and respect
to our religion and country of Israel. Camp Gan
Israel combined the best of all worlds: good old fun
with learning. The children got to know new Jewish
and many Israeli friends while going rock climbing,
Pump it up, learning to swim, playing in water,
Bonfante Gardens, the Jungle, the Zoo, dancing, water
painting, and more and more activities. Time was also
spent learning about Israel, some Jewish law, respect
to one another and ahavat ha'zulat--all in fun and
games--best way of learning!!! And, my children got
to practice their Hebrew every day, translating for
the new Israeli children who knew no English (added
bonus for me :)

The staff was highly qualified and enthusiastic
each and every day. Even the grumpiest person on
Earth could not help but smile when gritted by the
friendly, loving staff. It was a great feeling
knowing every day that I am leaving my children in the
best competent care and that my children are learning
valuable lessons and having a wonderful time. Did I
mention the making of fresh individual Challahs every
Friday?!!

Anyway, I know this is long, but if you are
thinking about a great summer camp for your children
and you want them to have a good time and learn
valuable lessons, camp gan Israel is the way to go.
The children already asked me to sign them up again
this year.
