Great camp. High quality content and staff. Hours are very convenient (9-4). My daughter loves it.

THis camp was offered from Mon.-Fri 9-12 at Redwood Grove. The director was fabulous with the kids and the program offered a rich hands-on variety of nature experiences.

This camp is very nature oriented and the director and staff are great with the kids. Los Altos residents have priority so it may be tough to get into a particular week.

Good old fashioned camp! in the real outdoors, good info, fun games, singing, small hikes, optional sleepover in the upper field surrounded with the counselors, nice name 'tags' made out of twine and cuts of wood.... kids learned social stuff, farm stuff, animal info, sleep-out and outdoor info, and non-wasteful ways of doing art and projects, and they learned some eco, conservation and environmental information! no sense at any time that i had dropped my kids off at a camp "day care"! only negatives were the lengthy and oddly 'organized' first day check-in, and the vagueness around the sleepover night until the night before!

My kids loved the Thursday night overnight - neither knew anyone there, but felt comfortable and had a good time.

My child enjoyed every moment in the camp, counselors are very knowledgeable about dealing with kids and nature.

Animals, nature walks, arts & crafts, swimming, and an overnight under the stars--what's not to like? The pool could be heated and the campers could bond a bit more in smaller groups, but a very fun and highly recommended experience.
