I've been to CAR many times with my children. The water is WARM - 90 degrees or so which is nice because even during the summer it can be a bit chilly to swim outdoors. They have family swim times, weekdays from 5-6 and some weekend hours. Check their schedule online. They allow pool toys for the kids and a lifeguard is on duty. They have a couple of lanes for adult lap swim, but the lanes are not very long...

Very expensive for swimming lessons, but the small ratio (1:3), warm pool, and excellent instructors make this a good choice for the cautious child who might get lost in a typical YMCA-style program. They are very good in working with a wide variety of personalities, and also have specialized programs for those with physical challenges.

Love this place. Warm water, indoors, clean and spacious facilities. Good instructors.

This is a year-round ndoor pool - fun for kids.
They also offer swimming lessons for children 4 months to 12 years old.

I love to go to the family free swims with my kids because the water is so warm. We dropped out of a private swim lesson class because my child was not learning anything new. He was already comfortable with the water, yet he needed to learn mechanics of breathing. I could tell after a few lessons that it was not going well. They gave me a credit as a refund.
