What people say about renting outdoor boat storage on Neighbor

40 x 10 Unpaved Lot in Tucson, Arizona

Verified Review

"We parked our RV and truck on Orlando's land for several months. He was friendly and accommodating when we arrived, and so easy to work with. He responded the day of to our request, which was helpful given travel plans. He was flexible with where to park on his land, and we felt very welcome. The neighborhood is very calm, and there is a gas station a few minutes down the road which can be helpful if you are storing an RV. Overall, we had a positive first experience with Neighbor and if/when we should need storage in the area, we would certainly work with Orlando again."

"The host was exceptional and highly recommended. The space isn't the easiest to use - suggest trailers under 20 feet in total length including tongue and you'll need to be comfortable with uneven ground."

Types of Boat Storage

Storing your boat outdoors can provide many advantages, such as affordability and quick access. However, there are other storage options you may wish to consider, including indoor, outdoor, and covered boat storage.

  • Indoor storage can provide secure and protective features, such as private garages.
  • Outdoor storage offers convenience and cost effectiveness, such as parking lots.
  • Covered storage provides more protection from the elements, such as carports.

Choosing Boat Storage

Finding the right outdoor storage unit for your boat or watercraft can be a challenge, but with some research and consideration, you can make an informed decision. Here are some important factors you should consider when selecting an outdoor storage unit in Bisbee, AZ:

  • Size: The unit should be large enough to fit the boat and trailer.
  • Ground Level: Look for a unit that is ground level, as this will make it easier to transport the vessel to and from the unit.
  • Protection: The space should provide adequate protection from the elements and should be out of direct sunlight.
  • Security: Ensure the unit has a secure lock as well as other security features like lighting, cameras, or fencing.
  • Accessibility: Look for a unit that allows easy access and check to see if there are any additional fees associated with entering and leaving the unit.

Climate Considerations

When looking to rent outdoor boat storage in Bisbee, Arizona, several factors should be considered in order to ensure the protection of the watercraft. The climate in Bisbee ranges from hot and dry in summer to mild and wet in winter, with an average high of 95°F and an average low of 30°F in peak summer and peak winter respectively.

Outdoor storage for boats provides several benefits over indoor storage. It allows for the boat to be easily accessible for use, as well as providing ample ventilation when not in use. Outdoor storage also reduces the risk of mildew or mold forming on the boat due to the lack of a damp environment.

In order to protect the boat while in outdoor storage, it is important to use protective covers and to ensure that all excess moisture is removed before storage. It is also recommended that the boat be inspected periodically throughout the year, and any repairs or maintenance be completed as needed.

FAQs about outdoor boat storage in Bisbee

On average a Neighbor outdoor boat storage unit in Bisbee costs $112 per month.

15x15 spaces are the most frequently booked outdoor boat storage type in Bisbee.

Motorcycles and other small vehicles generally require a 5x10 storage space while most cars and trucks will fit within a 10x20. For larger trailers, RVs, and other vehicles you will likely need to pull out the measuring tape as they can require anywhere from 10x40 to 20x60 spaces. Residential driveways offer a range of sizes and are typically affordable and convenient.

We recommend climate controlled storage for most electronics, collectibles, personal items (books, clothing, and photos), and sensitive materials (glass, leather, and metal).

If you live in a dry climate, climate control isn't as much of a concern, though you should still consider temperature's effect on your items.

If you expect freezing temperatures during the period that you plan to store your vehicle, you should definitely consider winterizing your vehicle before storing to prevent unecessary harm to your vehicle.
