What people say about renting outdoor car storage on Neighbor

40 x 10 Unpaved Lot in Tucson, Arizona

Verified Review

"We parked our RV and truck on Orlando's land for several months. He was friendly and accommodating when we arrived, and so easy to work with. He responded the day of to our request, which was helpful given travel plans. He was flexible with where to park on his land, and we felt very welcome. The neighborhood is very calm, and there is a gas station a few minutes down the road which can be helpful if you are storing an RV. Overall, we had a positive first experience with Neighbor and if/when we should need storage in the area, we would certainly work with Orlando again."

Choosing a Storage Unit

When deciding on an outdoor car storage unit, there are several factors to consider.

  • Location - Look for a unit close to home or work so you can easily access it.
  • Size - Make sure the unit is big enough to store your car and any other items you need to store.
  • Access - Look for a unit with easy access, like one with ample parking or close to a main road.
  • Security - Look for a unit that is well-lit, has a good lock system, and is in a safe neighborhood.
  • Parking - Look for a unit with adequate parking so you don't have to worry about getting a ticket.

Climate Considerations

When looking to rent outdoor car storage in Bisbee, Arizona, there are a few important factors to consider. Peak summer months can see temperatures above 90°F, while peak winter months can see temperatures as low as 30°F. When it comes to the type of vehicle stored, outdoor storage should be avoided for classic or exotic cars, which are more susceptible to damage from weather conditions. For SUVs, trucks and other non-luxury vehicles, outdoor storage can be beneficial when sheltered or covered properly.

The key to effective outdoor storage is to use covers or tarps to protect the vehicle from wind, rain and extreme temperatures. Additionally, it is important to check the vehicle regularly for any signs of corrosion, rust or wear from weather-related damage. Lastly, before renting outdoor car storage, inquire with the provider about any potential additional costs for covering the vehicle.

About Bisbee

Bisbee, Arizona is a historic mining city located in the southeastern portion of the state, about 90 miles east of Tucson and about 80 miles southeast of Phoenix. It is nestled in the Mule Mountains and is known for its vibrant history and culture. Bisbee was founded in 1880 as an open-pit copper mine, and by the early 1900s, it was the largest city in Arizona. With its close proximity to the Mexican border, it became a melting pot of different cultures, traditions and foods.

Today, Bisbee is a popular destination for tourists, who come to enjoy the many attractions in the area. Popular spots include the Queen Mine Tours, the Copper Queen Library, and the Old Bisbee Historic District, with its century-old architecture and numerous restaurants and art galleries. In addition, the city is home to the Chiricahua National Monument, the Coronado National Forest, and the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area, which offer a variety of outdoor recreation activities.

Bisbee is a small city with a population of about 5,000. Along with historic neighborhoods such as Brewery Gulch and Warren, it has several newer subdivisions, such as Pirtleville, Dos Cabezas and Palominas. Its unique location also makes it an ideal spot for those who want to explore Tucson or Phoenix for day trips. For those who need reliable transportation, Bisbee has a good selection of used cars, along with a few car dealerships.

FAQs about outdoor car storage in Bisbee

On average a Neighbor outdoor car storage unit in Bisbee costs $112 per month.

15x15 spaces are the most frequently booked outdoor car storage type in Bisbee.

Motorcycles and other small vehicles generally require a 5x10 storage space while most cars and trucks will fit within a 10x20. For larger trailers, RVs, and other vehicles you will likely need to pull out the measuring tape as they can require anywhere from 10x40 to 20x60 spaces. Residential driveways offer a range of sizes and are typically affordable and convenient.

We recommend climate controlled storage for most electronics, collectibles, personal items (books, clothing, and photos), and sensitive materials (glass, leather, and metal).

If you live in a dry climate, climate control isn't as much of a concern, though you should still consider temperature's effect on your items.

If you expect freezing temperatures during the period that you plan to store your vehicle, you should definitely consider winterizing your vehicle before storing to prevent unecessary harm to your vehicle.
