Chad was a great host while storing an RV that I had sold to an out of state buyer. The buyer had planned to come in March but circumstances prevented her flying out to drive it back home until December. Chad made sure when we were removing the RV that we were the authorized people to move it. I wish I’d known about this site when I’d owned the RV as I would have saved nearly $50/month.

Scottsdale RV Storage Types

Pick the best type of storage for your RV and your budget:

  • Indoor RV storage: Indoor RV storage protects your vehicle from the elements and is more secure than covered or outdoor RV storage. Just remember that this is the priciest storage type.
  • Covered RV storage: Pay less than indoor RV storage while still protecting your RV from the sun and some precipitation. Covered RV storage is the happy medium.
  • Outdoor RV storage: Outdoor RV storage is the least expensive storage Neighbor hosts offer, typically consisting of an empty lot, secure street parking, or a driveway.
  • Tips and Tricks for RV Storage

Getting used to tiny spaces is all part of the experience of RV travel, right? Here are a few RV storage tips before you hit the road:

  • Hooks can help: Put hooks on doors, cabinets, or walls for hanging small towels, cooking items, cleaning supplies, and bathroom bags. The more you hang up, the less mess you'll deal with.
  • Purchase organizing bins: Plastic or wire shelves and bins are great for putting away clothes, shoes, food, and other random items.
  • Try collapsible items: Swapping out some of your RV items to those that can collapse will save lots of space. Think collapsible trash cans, bowls, tea kettles, and more. You can purchase these at your local Camping World of Mesa, located at 2222 E Main St, Mesa, or The Home Depot, located at 9170 E Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale.
  • Scottsdale RV Storage: Frequently Asked Questions

The average RV storage rate in Scottsdale is $184 each month.

The RV storage unit dimensions depend on the type of vehicle you have. You can find Scottsdale RV storage units to fit anything from a Class A RV to a fifth wheel.

Here is what you might find:

  • Any-time access: Rent a Scottsdale RV storage that has 24/7 access, perfect for accessing your RV any moment of the day.
  • Security: Give your RV the safest storage unit possible by selecting a listing that offers protection such as a padlock, all-day surveillance, security cameras, or an access code.
  • For full-time RV storage, it's a best practice to start your RV monthly.

Here's what to do if you're using long-term Scottsdale RV storage: Power wash the exterior and use an RV cover, defrost the refrigerator and wash the inside, prevent rust by patching any cracks or holes, and start the engine once a month.

Winter temperatures in Scottsdale typically don't get below freezing, so winterizing your RV may not be needed. But, it's still advised you fully protect your vehicle with indoor, climate-controlled RV storage in the winter. This type of RV storage in Scottsdale will help keep your vehicle free from the mercy of the weather and maintain ideal humidity levels.

It's important to protect your RV from Scottsdale's scorching heat in the summer. Increase air flow by opening vents; wash and wax the exterior; empty water tanks; clear out, wipe down, and defrost the refrigerator; and use an RV cover as well as tire and window covers.

Scottsdale also experiences low summertime humidity, so it's a great idea to rent indoor, climate-controlled RV storage to protect your vehicle's wood finishes from drying out.

Insurance is highly recommended for RV storage in Scottsdale. Your renter's or homeowner's insurance policy should cover potential damage or theft while your RV is in storage.
