We all remember the summer of 2020.<\/p>\n

Many cities and states were in lockdown during a surge of COVID-19 cases across the country. We were forced to give up weddings<\/a>, vacations, socializing, and many of the activities that we consider quintessential to an American summer.<\/p>\n

But now, COVID-19 vaccines are widely available in the U.S. According to the New York Times<\/i><\/a>, cases have fallen nearly 50% compared to the 7-day average during last summer’s peak. President Joe Biden has announced plans to return American life to some sort of normalcy by July 4.<\/p>\n

But we’re still in a pandemic. What does normalcy look like this year? Is this summer really going to be “normal?”<\/p>\n

We surveyed 1,000 Americans to learn more about their plans for this summer, how they compare to last summer, and how the pandemic has changed their social habits.<\/p>\n
