"Lakendrick is very nice and professional¹ and responds quickly. He even honored the price of the unit upon my inquiry as opposed to the $10 increase a week later. I'm sure his unit might have been nice, but I have now been charged through this app fo r 2 months of storage that I have never used. After renting the space and getting the exact location, it turned out to be 25 minutes away from me instead of 10. I had to put my 20 year old dog down the day after renting the space and did not remember to cancel the unit within the 24 hour time frame. I messaged Lakendrick about the situation and distance confusion, assuming he would refund the money since I couldn't use his space. However I have now been charged twice and needed that money to pay for the storage unit i had to get that is closer to my house. "

"Perfect for car storage. Jeremy even offered to turn on my engine every week and let it run for 15-20 minutes so my battery will not drain. As the result, the car was in perfect drivable condition when I came back from my four-month trip. Will book again. "

Types of storage units

In the charming city of El Dorado, Arkansas, finding a storage unit that fits your needs is as easy as pie. With options ranging from small to large and everything in between, the city offers a variety of storage opportunities to keep your belongings safe and secure.

  • Drive-Up Storage Units: These are perfect for those who value convenience above all else. Drive-up units allow you to pull your vehicle right up to the door, making loading and unloading a breeze. This is a great option for storing bulky items like furniture or machinery that may be difficult to carry. Plus, in a city like El Dorado, with its warm climate, you won't have to worry about trudging through snow or rain to access your belongings.
  • Outdoor Parking Storage: Ideal for residents with RVs, trailers, or boats that can't be stored at home. In El Dorado, a city known for its outdoor activities, this type of storage can be particularly useful. Your recreational vehicles will be safe and ready for your next adventure.
  • Interior Storage without Climate Control: If your belongings are not sensitive to temperature or humidity changes, this type of storage can be an excellent choice. It offers a cost-effective way to store items securely while still providing the protection you need. It's suitable for storing items like out-of-season clothes, sporting equipment, or decorations.
  • Interior Storage with Climate Control: On the flip side, if you need to store items that are sensitive to temperature or humidity, such as important documents, electronics, or antiques, a climate-controlled unit is the answer. Given the humid subtropical climate of El Dorado, this type of storage can help protect your belongings from any potential weather damage.

Remember, each type of storage comes with its own unique set of benefits. Consider the kind of items you want to store, the climate, and your personal convenience when selecting a storage unit in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Choosing a storage unit

Embarking on a quest for a perfect self storage unit in El Dorado, Arkansas involves considering several key aspects. Size, access, and location should be thoughtfully examined to ensure a smooth storage experience.

  • Examining Access: Expectations regarding the accessibility of the storage unit should be well-defined. Conventional business hours may not suit everyone, especially those with non-traditional working hours. Consider if the storage unit is available round-the-clock or only during certain times. Additionally, it's essential to check if any special equipment is needed to access the items stored.
  • Location Consideration: The storage unit's location is a pivotal factor in the decision-making process. Look for a unit that is conveniently located, preferably in a neighborhood close to your home or workplace. A nearby location reduces the hassle of commuting long distances, especially for frequently needed items. Evaluate the safety of the area as well, taking into account local crime rates.
  • Sizing Up the Unit: It's crucial to have a clear understanding of the size of the storage unit required. Take into account the volume of items to be stored and the spatial arrangement. Units should be spacious enough to house your belongings without overcrowding, and have enough room for easy maneuverability within the unit. Try to avoid scenarios where items must be stacked precariously, which could lead to damage or potential injuries.

Climate considerations

El Dorado, located in Southern Arkansas, shows an interesting mix of seasonal climates. With an average high of 94°F in summer, and winter lows dipping down to 32°F, it's essential to consider the type of items you aim to store.

Climate-controlled storage offers an environment similar to your living space. It's ideal for wooden furniture, electronics, and delicate items. These units maintain a stable temperature and humidity level, providing added protection during Arkansas's hot, humid summers where mold and mildew are prevalent.

Meanwhile, non-climate-controlled storage also offers significant value in El Dorado. These units are excellent for items not sensitive to temperature fluctuations, such as metal items, plastic furniture, and garden tools. Though it's important to ensure items are cleaned and dried properly before storing to prevent potential moisture-related issues.

Remember, choosing between climate and non-climate controlled units is largely dependent on what you are storing. Each has their unique strengths that cater to El Dorado's diverse weather conditions.
