"I absolutely loved everything about the contact free sign up and personal touch of the super friendly staff at Stuuf, where I acquired a clean and large self-storage unit hassle-free. It's conveniently located and incredibly secure. I enjoyed every bit of my move in date which was just ONE DAY after I purchased it. Nothing has ever been easier or painless. I highly recommend this site as well as the team at Stuuf self storage. Thank you to you all!"

10 x 5 Self Storage Unit in Brooklyn, New York

"Storing with Stuf was super easy. I live in the area and wanted extra space at home so I moved some belongings into this beautiful facility, both inside and out (I can’t believe I’m saying that about self-storage). There are a few self-storage providers in the area but none of them had very inviting spaces; plus, Stuf was pretty competitive in rate and had amazing customer service from the first interaction. The team even met me on site to lend a helping hand and gave me some swag to take home (a mask which was very appreciated)."

"Love Stuf! I'm really happy with moving my storage unit to Stuf. Very easy reservation process, done virtually and Katrina was SO kind and helpful on the phone. They are just a phone call away if you run into any issues. I only had one, I couldn't open my unit initially, but I just had to jiggle the handle/lock and viola! "

Types of Storage

Renting a storage unit is a great way to store your belongings without taking up space in your home. It provides much-needed storage space, security, and convenience. Here are the benefits of the different types of storage:

  • Drive-up: Easier access to items, vehicles and boats; no stairs to climb
  • Interior without climate control: Cost effective solution; protection from weather elements
  • Interior with climate control: Temperature, humidity and moisture control; great for items sensitive to temperature and humidity
  • Outdoor parking: Secure open space ideal for vehicles, boats, and recreational vehicles
  • Specialty self storage units: Secure and purpose-built spaces for items needing special care, such as artwork and documents

Choosing a Storage Unit

When selecting a storage unit in Bronx, New York, it is important to consider the size, access and security of the storage space. Here are a few factors to consider:

  • Size: Make sure the storage unit fits all the items you need to store, with room to spare.
  • Access: Research the accessibility of the storage unit to find out how often you can access your items.
  • Security: Look for residential storage spaces that have safety measures in place, such as keypad access codes, locks or security cameras.
  • Cleanliness: Inspect the unit to make sure it is dust and debris free.
  • Location: Consider the location of the storage unit to determine how far away it is from your home.

Climate Considerations

When looking to rent a storage unit in Bronx in New York, it is important to consider the climate and weather of the area. In summer, the average high temperature is in the high 80s, while in winter the average low temperature is in the low 30s. For certain items, climate-controlled storage is recommended. For instance, if you are storing any electronic equipment, fragile items or items that are sensitive to temperature changes, such as wood furniture and paintings, climate-controlled storage is ideal. This will protect them from temperature and humidity fluctuations.

Other items, such as clothing, books and documents, are not necessarily sensitive to temperature and humidity changes and can be stored in non-climate-controlled storage. In these cases, we recommend using airtight boxes to protect items from dust and moisture. Additionally, if you are storing these types of items in the warmer months, it is best to monitor the temperature inside the unit and open the doors and windows periodically to ensure adequate air circulation.

Overall, when it comes to storage units, the best choice for your items will depend on their sensitivity to temperature and humidity. If you are storing items that are more sensitive, climate-controlled storage is the best choice. However, for items such as clothing, books and documents, non-climate-controlled storage can be an effective and cost-efficient option.
