"I absolutely loved everything about the contact free sign up and personal touch of the super friendly staff at Stuuf, where I acquired a clean and large self-storage unit hassle-free. It's conveniently located and incredibly secure. I enjoyed every bit of my move in date which was just ONE DAY after I purchased it. Nothing has ever been easier or painless. I highly recommend this site as well as the team at Stuuf self storage. Thank you to you all!"

10 x 5 Self Storage Unit in Brooklyn, New York

"Storing with Stuf was super easy. I live in the area and wanted extra space at home so I moved some belongings into this beautiful facility, both inside and out (I can’t believe I’m saying that about self-storage). There are a few self-storage providers in the area but none of them had very inviting spaces; plus, Stuf was pretty competitive in rate and had amazing customer service from the first interaction. The team even met me on site to lend a helping hand and gave me some swag to take home (a mask which was very appreciated)."

"Love Stuf! I'm really happy with moving my storage unit to Stuf. Very easy reservation process, done virtually and Katrina was SO kind and helpful on the phone. They are just a phone call away if you run into any issues. I only had one, I couldn't open my unit initially, but I just had to jiggle the handle/lock and viola! "

Choosing a Storage Unit

Choosing a storage unit in East Northport, NY can be an overwhelming task. When selecting a storage unit, it is important to consider the following factors:

  • Location: Location of the storage unit is important in terms of convenience, accessibility and security. Look for a storage unit that is easy to access and close to home or work.
  • Size: Consider the size of the storage unit needed to house your items. Be sure to get a unit that is the right size to accommodate your belongings and allows for easy access.
  • Accessibility: Consider the access hours and the policies for accessing your storage unit. Research if the facility has a 24/7 access system or an access system with limited hours.
  • Security: Research the security features that the facility offers such as keypad entry, video surveillance and security guards. Make sure the facility has the security measures necessary to protect your belongings.
  • Climate Control: Look for a storage unit that offers climate control features or is temperature controlled to protect your belongings from extreme temperatures.

Climate Considerations

When considering a storage unit in East Northport, it is important to consider the climate and weather. The average high temperature in the peak summer months is 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low temperature in the peak winter months is 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The humidity levels in East Northport also fluctuate throughout the year, so it is important to consider the impact of humidity on the items you plan to store.

Climate-controlled storage is an ideal option for those looking to store items like books, electronics, artwork, and furniture that are sensitive to fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels. A climate-controlled storage unit will provide greater protection, as the temperature and humidity levels remain consistent and within safe limits.

For those looking to store items that are less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, non-climate-controlled storage can be a cost-effective option. To protect non-climate-controlled items, you should take precautionary measures like placing items in airtight boxes and using desiccant packets to help absorb moisture. Additionally, leaving some space between items will also help ensure proper air circulation.

Overall, when it comes to renting a storage unit in East Northport, weighing the pros and cons of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled storage will help ensure that your items are properly protected from the elements.
