What people say about renting self storage on Neighbor

14 x 12 Shed in Garland, Texas

Verified Review

"I reserved the shed and was able to go look at it within the first day. It was nice, the host was very professional and the shed was clean, however, it was smaller than I expected. I ended up having to cancel and wasn't able to move anything in or use the storage shed. The only problem is in the neighbor app, it shows I moved in and I didn't and I have had some problems getting my money back. "

Choosing a Storage Unit

When considering a storage unit in Plano, Texas, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind:

  • Accessibility: How easy is it to access the storage unit in Plano? Are there any restrictions on the hours of access?
  • Size: Will the storage unit fit the items that you need to store? Is the size of the storage unit in Plano suitable for your needs?
  • Security: Is the storage unit secure? What type of locks are available?

Climate Considerations

When looking to rent a storage unit in Plano, Texas, it is important to consider the climate and weather of the city. The average high temperature in the summer months can reach up to 96°F (36°C), while the average low temperature in the winter months can drop to 32°F (0°C). Climate-controlled storage units can be beneficial when storing sensitive items, such as books, documents, artwork, electronics, and furniture. These units help maintain a consistent temperature and humidity level inside the unit, keeping your items safe from extreme temperatures and potential water damage.

Non-climate-controlled storage units can be a great choice for storing items that can withstand the temperatures of the region. You can still take some precautions when storing items in a non-climate-controlled unit. It is best to store items in airtight containers or plastic bags to protect them from dust and other potential damage. Keep an eye out for potential pests or mold problems, and make sure your items are not exposed to extreme temperatures.

Ultimately, the choice of a climate-controlled or non-climate-controlled storage unit will depend on the items you need to store. With the climate and weather of Plano in mind, you can choose the best option for your storage needs.
