"This was our 2nd time short term storing our RV w/ Low n Behold while visiting in state. They once again accommodated our needed timeline & were flexible w/ our check-out date. The lot continues to be a safe, locked, monitored space. Lent greatly to our peace of mind. We will rent from these honest, friendly & conscientious "Neighbors" yet again the next time we roll thru town!"

"Our 1st Neighbor.com experience was most positive! Our host, Low N Behold, was a great communicator & his lot space was exactly as described. No frills, just a parking space, but w/ a locked gate & other security measures in place. Because of the extreme summer heat & our pets, we could not live in our RV while visiting family in AZ. Needed a safe, affordable place to leave it for a week w/o typical campground worries. Our host accommodated our time frame & budget and the vetting process & rental policies of Neighbor.com took care of the rest! Was also happy that there were 2 major routes to our hosts homestead since sudden monsoon rains flooded 1 of the roads. The 2nd road had zero issues so our timeline was not impacted. Thank you to our host & Neighbor.com!"

"Nice spot and in a convenient location. Alex was great and very responsive and willing to help. Didn’t have any issues. The space is a little tricky to get in/out of, but we were able to maneuver our 40” fifth wheel in/out without a problem. Great spot to store an RV. "

"Chad was a great host while storing an RV that I had sold to an out of state buyer. The buyer had planned to come in March but circumstances prevented her flying out to drive it back home until December. Chad made sure when we were removing the RV that we were the authorized people to move it. I wish I’d known about this site when I’d owned the RV as I would have saved nearly $50/month."

"FANTASTIC hosts while our 45ft, 5th wheel was on their lot. Not only is it a large, fenced in lot but their house is on the property. They have everything locked and if needed, provide the code to get in. They were so wonderful with us, we had many trips to make to unload items, they always had the gate opened and ready for us to come in. Just the best experience and highly recommend. "

Types of RV storage

Planning an extended vacation or need to free up driveway space at your home in Maricopa, Arizona? Renting a storage space can be the perfect solution to safely house your RV, travel trailer, or motorhome.

There are several convenient and secure residential storage options available:

  • Indoor Storage: This is a premium storage solution for your RV or motorhome. Indoor storage can be found in a variety of residential properties such as large garages and warehouses. This option offers the highest level of protection from the elements, safeguarding your investment against Arizona's intense summer heat and monsoon season. Not only does it protect your RV from sun damage, but it also ensures that your vehicle remains clean and dust-free.
  • Covered Storage: Covered storage options, such as carports or awnings, are another great choice. These residential storage solutions shield your camper or travel trailer from direct sunlight, while still allowing for easy access. This keeps your vehicle in good condition, reducing the risk of paint or upholstery damage due to sun exposure.
  • Outdoor Storage: If you're simply looking for a secure place to park your RV or travel trailer, consider an outdoor storage option. This can be an open-air space in a residential backyard or driveway. While this might not offer as much protection from the weather as indoor or covered storage, it still provides a designated area for your vehicle. You won't need to worry about neighborhood parking restrictions or taking up valuable space at your home.

Remember, when choosing a storage option, consider the type and size of your RV, travel trailer or motorhome, the amount of protection you desire, and the convenience of access to your vehicle. Each storage type comes with its own benefits and considerations to help meet your specific needs and circumstances in Maricopa, Arizona.

Choosing the best RV storage

Choosing the right storage location for your camper, travel trailer, or motorhome can greatly impact your overall storage experience. It's all about considering the perfect blend of space, accessibility, and locality. Here are a few points to consider:

  • Location Features: When picking a location, consider its proximity to your residence or frequent travel routes. Also, check out the safety measures in place. Is the area well-lit? Is it in a good neighborhood or a location that feels secure?
  • Accessibility Factors: You don't want to be caught in a situation where you need your RV in an instant but can't access it. Check to see if the storage space provides flexible access hours. 24/7 access would be a huge bonus if you've got sudden plans for an unexpected adventure.
  • Size Considerations: A crucial factor to consider is the size of the storage space. Take into account not only the dimensions of your RV but also its height. Calculate the space required carefully. There should be enough room for you to maneuver around safely, and perhaps store extra gear if needed. Make sure your fifth wheel or travel trailer will fit comfortably without causing any potential damage.

Climate considerations

Considering Maricopa, Arizona's climate is critical when seeking storage for your RV, travel trailer, or motorhome. In the peak of summer, temperatures can average a scorching 106°F, while winter months can see lows dipping to an average of 37°F. This fluctuation can impact the integrity of your recreational vehicle if not properly addressed.

In the hotter months, the sun's UV rays can fade and crack your RV's exterior, damage interior furnishings, and cause wear and tear to tires. It's recommended to invest in a quality protective cover. This not only shields it from the sun but also prevents dust and debris from settling on your vehicle.

In colder weather, ensure the water systems are properly winterized to prevent freezing and potential damage. A well-insulated indoor storage space is excellent to keep your vehicle protected from the elements year-round.
