"I needed a place to store my car in a bind, I was out of state and waiting for a transportation truck to pick my car up. Phyllis and her husband were amazing. Extremely communicative and helpful. They even handed the truck my car key, so I didn’t have to fly back for that. You can take the Sky train or Parking Spot 2 bus from the airport and just walk over, super convenient."

"Jared responds quick. Real helpful, felt more like leaving my van with a friend than some indescript face behind a profile page. Felt confident going back to get it and felt good being away for as long as I was. He bought a jump start and a window cleaner to help me get out on the road again. "

Choosing an RV Storage Unit

When looking to store an RV, motorhome, trailer, or camper in Paradise Valley, Arizona, it is important to evaluate the desired space based on a few core considerations.

  • Size of space: Be sure to consider whether the storage space is large enough to fit your RV and any other accompanying items and/or accessories.
  • Accessibility: Determine the hours and days of the week that you can access the storage space, and whether there are any additional access requirements.
  • Location: Evaluate the location of the storage space in relation to where you live or any other places you may frequent.
  • Security: Assess the security features of the space, such as whether there is adequate lighting and if it is in a locked facility.
  • Parking: Consider whether there is adequate parking space for the RV, both when arriving at and departing from the storage space.

Climate Considerations

When looking to rent storage for a motorhome, camper or trailer in Paradise Valley, Arizona, there are several important considerations. Climate and weather must be taken into account. In peak summer, the average high temperature is 106°F and in peak winter, the average low temperature is 38°F. To adequately protect the vehicle, a facility should be chosen with a sealed, insulated and ventilated area specifically designed to protect vehicles from extreme temperatures. Furthermore, the facility should also offer protection from the sun and dust. Sprinkler systems and smoke alarms are also recommended for fire safety. Finally, choosing a facility with a security system and 24/7 monitoring will provide additional peace of mind.

Ourcomprehensive list of available Neighbor RV storage spaces in Paradise Valley is a great place to start.

As a rule of thumb, a 5x5 will fit one piece of furniture or several boxes, a 5x10 will fit the contents of a 1-bedroom apartment, a 10x10 will fit the contents of a small home, a 10x15 will fit the contents of a 2-3 bedroom home, a 10x20 will fit the contents of a 4 bedroom home, and a 20x20 will fit a lot more.

Motorcycles and other small vehicles generally require a 5x10 storage space while most cars and trucks will fit within a 10x20. For larger trailers, RVs, and other vehicles you will likely need to pull out the measuring tape as they can require anywhere from 10x40 to 20x60 spaces.

We recommend climate controlled storage for most electronics, collectibles, personal items (books, clothing, and photos), and sensitive materials (glass, leather, and metal).

If you live in a dry climate, climate control isn't as much of a concern, though you should still consider temperature's effect on your items.

If you expect freezing temperatures during the period that you plan to store your vehicle, you should definitely consider winterizing your vehicle before storing to prevent unecessary harm to your vehicle.
