What people say about renting RV storage on Neighbor

40 x 10 Unpaved Lot in Tucson, Arizona

Verified Review

"We parked our RV and truck on Orlando's land for several months. He was friendly and accommodating when we arrived, and so easy to work with. He responded the day of to our request, which was helpful given travel plans. He was flexible with where to park on his land, and we felt very welcome. The neighborhood is very calm, and there is a gas station a few minutes down the road which can be helpful if you are storing an RV. Overall, we had a positive first experience with Neighbor and if/when we should need storage in the area, we would certainly work with Orlando again."

Types of RV Storage

Tucson, Arizona, has many storage options for motorhomes and campers.

  • Indoor storage offers the most protection from the elements, providing a large space suitable for any size vehicle. Examples include large garages or commercial storage units.

Choosing an RV Storage Unit

When choosing a residential storage space for your RV, motorhome, trailer, or camper in Tucson, AZ, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind:

  • Location: Look for a storage facility that's conveniently located for your needs, whether that's close to home or close to the places you plan to visit.
  • Security: Make sure the space you choose is secure, with adequate lighting and surveillance.
  • Accessibility: Consider the accessibility of the space, such as the availability of a driveway to get in and out, and the size of the entrance to the storage space.
  • Storage Amenities: Check if the space has any amenities, such as power outlets or a waste dump that could be beneficial.
  • Size: Last but not least, make sure the space is large enough to accommodate your vehicle.

Climate Considerations

When looking to rent storage for a motorhome, camper or trailer in Tucson, Arizona, it is important to be aware of the climate and weather. Summer temperatures in Tucson can get very hot, with an average high temperature of 106 degrees Fahrenheit in July. To protect your vehicle in the hot weather, you should look for storage that has ample shade and insulation, such as covered or partially covered spaces.

In the winter months, temperatures average around 52 degrees Fahrenheit in January. If you are storing your vehicle in the winter, you should look for storage options that offer protection from cold temperatures and wind, such as enclosed spaces. It is also important to ensure that the storage has good drainage to avoid water pooling around your vehicle.

Additionally, you should check to make sure the storage site has security features such as video surveillance and gated access to protect your vehicle from theft or vandalism. Lastly, you should also look for storage that offers reasonable access hours, so you can visit your vehicle whenever you need.
