"Storing our 5th wheel on Kurtis’s property has been fantastic! It’s safe, easily accessible and ideal! I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a spot for their large toys. The price point is great considering the cost of commercial storage and the amenities provided at this location. Would absolutely try to come back if our situation changes. "

"I work all over the country and live in my RV while working. I live in an RV Park in Orange CA while working in LA. I was looking for a storage site closer to Orange to store my RV when not in the RV park. Between less than accurate descriptions of the space as well as ease of access I could not find a suitable space near Orange. I expanded my search and found Jorge. Jorge is an amazing person with an amazing family in Menifee CA. Jorge is 100% honest and has an amazing commitment to customer service. While I am not thrilled with driving from Orange to Menifee and back, I will never even look for another spot closer to Orange because dealing with Jorge is that great. If you have an RV to store, Jorge will do all that is possible to make that experience a successful one. "

Types of RV storage

Making the choice to store your RV in San Jacinto is a smart one, as it means your travel trailer will be ready to go whenever you want to embark on your next adventure. The beautiful city offers a variety of storage options to suit your needs—whether you're looking to shield your motorhome from sun damage, protect it from the elements, or just needing some extra space at home.

  • Outdoor RV storage can be an excellent option if your primary concern is space. These storage solutions often involve paved or graveled lots, driveways, or even large backyards, making them readily available in residential areas. Outdoor storage allows for easy access and maneuverability, and is generally less costly than other options. However, it may expose your camper to San Jacinto's climate, which can result in wear over time.
  • Covered storage presents a balance between affordability and protection. These storage spaces could be carports, canopies, or specially designed covered areas. While not completely enclosed, they do provide some shield against rain, sunlight, and other weather conditions. This can be a great option if you're seeking to protect your fifth wheel from San Jacinto's sunny days and occasional rainfall, without the higher cost of indoor storage.
  • Indoor RV storage is the premium option for those seeking maximum protection for their vehicles. These spaces can be found in garages, warehouses, or even large barns. Indoor storage protects your motorhome from the elements, dust, pests, and possible vandalism, making it an excellent choice for long-term storage or for high-end models. These indoor spaces can also provide additional room for storing other camping gear. However, they may be harder to come by in San Jacinto, and the size of your RV would need to be considered when selecting an indoor space.

Choosing the best RV storage

In sunny San Jacinto, California, finding the right storage location for your motorhome, camper, or travel trailer involves careful consideration. While there are several factors to take into account, three key aspects that should guide your decision are the size of the storage space, accessibility, and the location's proximity and safety.

  • Dimensions of the Storage Space: The size of the storage space you'll need depends on the type and size of your RV. Make sure the space is large enough not only for your camper or RV but also for any other camping gear or accessories you might want to store. Remember, your motorhome needs enough clearance space to enter and exit without difficulty.
  • Accessibility: Another important factor is the accessibility of the storage location. Ideally, you'll want a storage site that allows for ease of access, especially if you'll be using your RV frequently. Consider the operating hours of the storage facility and whether these align with your schedule. Also, consider the ease of maneuvering your RV within the storage site.
  • Proximity and Safety: When choosing a storage location, consider how close it is to your home or frequently visited places. A close-by location can save you time and travel costs. Safety is another key consideration. The storage location should be in a safe neighborhood and perhaps even have additional safety features like surveillance cameras or a secure entrance.

Remember, the right storage location for your RV can provide you with peace of mind and help preserve the lifespan of your motorhome or travel trailer.

Climate considerations

Storing your RV, travel trailer, or motorhome in San Jacinto, California, requires special considerations due to the area's climate. During peak summer months, the average high temperature can reach a scorching 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This intense heat can cause damage to your recreational vehicle's exterior and interior. To protect your vehicle, look for a storage space that provides shade or consider investing in a high-quality, UV-resistant cover to shield your RV from the sun. On the other hand, the average low in winter can dip to 34 degrees Fahrenheit, which could potentially freeze your water systems. It's recommended to drain these systems beforehand and to use a breathable cover that will protect against moisture, but won't let condensation build up underneath.

Renting RV storage in San Jacinto

Nestled between the San Jacinto Mountains and the sprawling expanse of the San Bernardino National Forest, the city of San Jacinto, California is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and RV wanderers alike. Known for its rich history, beautiful landscape, and quiet community settings like Country Lake, De Anza, and Equestrian Downs, San Jacinto offers numerous residential storage options for your RV, camper, motorhome or travel trailer.

Nearby, the shimmering waters of Lake Perris and just a stone's throw from Diamond Valley Lake provide a wealth of recreational opportunities, from hiking and biking to camping and boating. With such popular outdoor attractions so close, it's no surprise that many RV owners are seeking storage options in San Jacinto or its neighboring cities like Hemet and Beaumont.

"Host was the best," one reviewer said of their storage experience. With such warm hospitality, it's clear why San Jacinto is a favored spot to store an RV over the winter. One user expressed their satisfaction with their storage location, stating it was "safe and near our home." Convenience and safety are key factors when considering storage for your prized possession.

Describing their storage space as "great spot with plenty of room," signifies the ample residential spaces San Jacinto has to offer, even for larger vehicles like a 34-foot fifth wheel. "Very secure, with cameras and a locked gate," also suggests that property owners in San Jacinto take their role as storage providers seriously.

In the words of another satisfied user, "this has been the perfect spot," it's evident that San Jacinto, with its clean, accessible, and secure properties, has proven to be an ideal location for RV storage.

FAQs About RV storage in San Jacinto, California
