20 x 10 Unpaved Lot in Jamaica, New York

Posted Mar 15 2023

"Olawale was extraordinarily kind, helpful and communicative. But in all that I read there was nothing indicating the discounted price was only for a minimum of two months regardless, I should not be charged 167 for 2 wks of usage (quoted rate was 87). Raving reviews for Olawale as a person but I would request that he or the platform honor the agreed upon price however for the 2 weeks. Thank you! "

What is neighbor

What is Neighbor?

In a few words, Neighbor is an online peer-to-peer community that connects those who have extra space with those in need of storage. We love to help our hosts earn extra money and our renters save money. It’s that simple!

We’re on a mission to solve our neighbor’s problems, and that starts with the space issue. Some neighbors have too much, and some have not enough. By building community, working together, and staying neighborly, we are changing the way we think about self-storage.

    Tips for RV Storage

Whether you're a family of four or a party of one, roaming by RV means getting used to tiny spaces. Here are a few RV storage hacks before you hit the road:

  • Use hooks: Add hooks to cabinets, doors, or walls to hang bathroom caddies, small towels, kitchen utensils, and cleaning supplies. The more that's hung up, the less clutter you'll have.
  • Bins to the rescue: Plastic or wire bins and shelves can store shoes, food, clothing, and other random items.
  • Collapsibility is key: These could be bowls, trash cans, tea kettles, and more—all of which can save lots of space. Head to your local hardware or home goods store to purchase them.

  • For full-time RV storage, you should start your engine once a month.

We have some tips for using an RV storage unit long-term, no matter where you live: Defrost the fridge and wash the interior, patch up any holes or cracks to prevent rust, clean the exterior and put on an RV cover, and start the engine once a month.

When temps inch toward the low 30s, you should winterize your RV. First, put antifreeze in the pipes. Then, replace A/C filters and take out and store batteries. Finally, keep rodents from getting in by patching any cracks or holes.

It's not suggested to store a RV outside in the winter. Limit potential damage from weather with climate-controlled RV storage in Rush.

Follow these steps if you need to store a RV outside during the heat of summer. Clean and wax the exterior; use tire and window covers as well as an RV cover; clear out, clean, and unplug the fridge; empty water tanks; and open air vents slightly to increase circulation.

Consider renting indoor, climate-controlled RV storage to prevent mildew and mold from developing inside your RV and keep wood finishes from cracking.

We highly recommend getting insurance. Your renter's or homeowner's insurance policy most likely covers potential damage or theft while your RV is in storage.
