What people say about renting RV storage on Neighbor

10 x 29 Driveway in Austin, Texas

Verified Review

"A bit confusing as car is parked behind the home in front of a garage door, yet I was confirmed that no one comes in and out of the garage with a car. If he wasn't there to explain where to park, I would have been in wrong spot. Maybe a marker with tape and permanent marker where to park car, and instructions to go around back in message. He was great at getting back with me and luckily home when I came by. "

Choosing an RV Storage Unit

Choosing an RV storage space can be a tricky business, but if you live in Austin, Texas, there are a few important factors to consider when making your decision. Here are some key considerations:

  • Accessibility: Make sure the storage space is easy to get to and that it has enough room to maneuver an RV or trailer into place.
  • Size: Consider the size of your RV and the size of the storage unit. Make sure the space is large enough to fit your RV securely without overcrowding.
  • Security: Look for an RV storage space that has secure doors, locks, and lighting.
  • Location: Look for a storage unit near your home or other important locations, such as recreation areas, where you may take your RV.
  • Indoor/Outdoor: Consider whether you need indoor or outdoor storage, as well as any other amenities that may be available.

Climate Considerations

When considering renting storage for a motorhome, camper, or trailer in Austin, Texas, it’s important to consider when and where you are storing your vehicle. In Austin, temperatures can reach an average high of 96°F in the summer, and an average low of 39°F in the winter.

Choose a storage facility that offers the best protection from the elements, such as a covered area, and a secure access system. Make sure the storage unit can provide adequate ventilation and climate control to prevent condensation and mildew.

Additionally, you should also consider the security of the storage facility. Check to see if access to the storage is restricted, and that the area is monitored by video surveillance or on-site security personnel.

When storing a motorhome, camper, or trailer, it is important to ensure that any stored items are covered and protected from the elements. Choose covers or tarps that are made of breathable fabric to prevent mildew and provide adequate ventilation. Additionally, prop open any doors and windows slightly to provide airflow and reduce humidity.
